De Still Drinkin' (Dā Stil Drinkin)
Translation: They are still drinking
Hassle Island, once a peninsula connected to St. Thomas, is now a short kayak ride away. It is a delight to hike this small island and discover little scenes like this one. Archeological research revealed, Hassle Island has recorded a high occurrence of container glass fragments attributed to liquor bottles suggesting that drinking was a form of medication during a period of leprosy on the island. Well, “De Still Drinkin”, as evident by this display, for a less distressing reason, but for good times!
