It is a spiritual intimacy when persons from different communities and assorted mother tongues can communicate through the universality of music and dance. Bamboula bridged the diversity to peacefully gather people into a unified village. 

Though society may confine our actions through laws and established but unspoken rules, our ancestors have shown us that our spirit is bigger than the world we live in and freer than the body that hosts our physical form. 

Historical note: August 8, 1672 Governor Jorgen Iversen banned bamboula dancing on the island of St. Thomas.
