Just before the sun rises over the town of Charlotte Amalie, Main Street is motionless as the coming of day and the departure of night intersect.  Most prominent is the glistening brick street welcomed by the historic warehouse-type buildings  with their arched windows and doors.  What is old is new again and what is new was once old. The new brick laid streets are reminiscent of yesteryear’s cobblestone streets throughout Mainstreet and the adjoining alleyways.
